Is your website optimized for humans or search engine bots? The question may be more important than you know and the answer may not be what you would expect.
The “SEO experts” have tried to convince us for years that we need to please the search engine bots. They inundated us with every trick in the book from keyword stuffing to back links to alt-tag descriptions and robot text file configurations. While the last two still hold some significance, the folks at Google have reminded us that the Internet, and your website, are there for human visitors. If your site offers a welcoming format and interesting, relevant information to the human visitor, then its place in search engine results will be good. Really; it’s that simple.
What an interesting epiphany …………writing web content for humans.
Want to get more visitors to your site? Write about something that people are currently interested in. What are they talking about on social media? What’s trending? Provide some useful, interesting information. Include a title, and subtitles, that catch people’s attention.
Make your website content writing so interesting and enjoyable to read that people come back for more. Then, tell the SEO experts that you have it all figured out and don’t need their help. You are writing for humans because you never had an interesting conversation with a bot.
